HAMA 6970 ANGLE EXTENSION FLASH CABLE 0.5M HAMA 6971 ANGLE EXTENSION FLASH CABLE 1M HAMA 6951 HOT SHOE ADAPTER
The Hama 1m long flash gun synchronisation cable is designed to link a flash gun to a camera, slave sync unit or flash splitter in order to trigger it when the camera release is depressed. It utilises PC plugs at each end to connect to the hardware and these plugs are set at 90° to ensure that they are not easily pulled out accidentally in the event of a snag on the cable. The plugs fit snugly to the body of the camera but are easy to remove when the need arises at the end of the photo session.
The length of the cable is ideal for tabletop studio use where the cable can be placed around the perimeter of the shot, thus keeping it out of the picture, whilst still keeping the link to the flash gun. Another use for this length of extension flash cable can be in macro photography where you need to trigger the flash from a distance, perhaps where the photographer is using a multi flashgun setup and demands direct control of the triggering. This cable provides a very useful and simple way of triggering a flash gun up to 1m away from the camera.

This tiny device is one of those gizmos that, once you have it, you wonder how you managed for years without one. It simply converts a camera with a hot shoe only flash contact to one that has a PC cable flash sync socket, thus opening up a host of options for new lighting techniques. Simply slide this little Hama hot shoe adapter into a standard hot shoe, plug in your flash gun cable and you are ready to start shooting.
This now means that you can connect multiple flashguns via this adapter and a flash splitter to allow up to 3 guns to be triggered simultaneously. You can also now make use of the studio lighting at your local camera club, simply by plugging the flash cable into the socket on the adapter. You can even add a bounce shoe adapter and connect its cable to the socket, allowing you to create new lighting effects.
Long distance flash triggering is now by connecting up to a 10m extension cable between the flash gun and the camera. This opens up a whole new way of working with flash on a hot shoe only camera and should find a corner in loads of gadget bags.

The Hama 3m long flash gun synchronisation cable is designed to link a flash gun to a camera, slave sync unit or flash splitter in order to trigger it when the camera release is depressed. It utilises PC plugs at each end to connect to the hardware and these plugs are set at 90° to ensure that they are not easily pulled out in the event of a snag on the cable. The plugs fit snugly to the body of the camera but are easy to remove when the need arises at the end of the photo session.
The length of the cable is ideal for studio use where the cable can be placed around the perimeter of the shot, thus keeping it out of the picture, whilst still keeping the link to the flash gun. Another use for this length of extension flash cable can be in wildlife photography where you need to trigger the flash from a distance, perhaps where the photographer is in a hide and the gun is obscured from sight, thus making sync units unusable. This cable provides a very useful and simple way of triggering a flash gun up to 3m away from the camera.
HAMA 6963 3 WAY FLASH CONNECTOR
This simple little device allows the photographer to fire up to 3 cable linked flash guns simultaneously when triggering the camera. The splitter simply plugs into the coax sync socket on the camera body and up to 3 flash cables from individual flash guns can be connected to the integral sockets, making a secure connection possible.
This device is an ideal accessory for macro (close up) photography where there is not space for extra flash trigger units, but the photographer needs to trigger up to 3 small flashguns mounted on various arms and devices at precisely the same time, simply plug in the different sync cables and you have a tried and tested, space saving and effective connection.
In some complex studio situations high tech flash triggers may not operate because of obstructions between the main trigger flash and the slave unit itself or because they are too far away and out of range so many photographers revert to this little low tech but reliable device using cables. So if you want a simple reliable way of triggering up to 3 cable controlled flash guns, then this tiny device should certainly find a place in your gadget bag.
HAMA 6959 MOUNTING SHOE
The Hama Mounting Shoe with Insulating Plate is a simple but very versatile little photographic accessory. Firstly, it allows traditional hot shoe flashguns to be mounted onto new SLR and DSLR cameras which are fitted with multi-pole accessory shoes, for their dedicated flash units. By mounting this in between the flash gun and the camera shoe, it acts as an insulator, stops the flash being triggered accidentally and protects the hot shoe against short circuiting as a result of the multi point contacts on the camera shoe base. The flash in this case will need to be triggered by means of a cable between the flashgun and the sync socket on the camera.
A second use is to mount shoe flashguns onto tripods or other stands that have a 6.4mm, ¼” thread on them as part of a studio or macro setup. The 6.4mm, ¼” socket on the base of the adapter is simply screwed onto the tripod or stand and the flash slid into the shoe to be securely mounted, it will again need to be triggered with a sync cable or using one of Hama’s extension cables or flash remote slave triggers if the distance to the camera is too great.
HAMA 6975 ANGLE EXTENSION FLASH CABLE 5M HAMA 6952 HOT SHOE ADAPTOR CABLE CONTACT HAMA 6938 COILED FLASH CABLE PC TO PC 1.3M
The Hama 5m long flash gun synchronisation cable is designed to link a flash gun to a camera, slave sync unit or flash splitter in order to trigger it when the camera release is depressed.
Another use for such a long cable can be in wildlife photography where you need to trigger the flash from a distance, perhaps where the photographer is in a hide and the gun is obscured from sight, thus making sync units unusable. This cable provides a very useful and simple way of triggering a flash gun up to 5m away from the camera.
This useful little device allows the photographer to fire a flashgun with only a hot shoe contact on a camera without a hot shoe, but fitted with a cable contact socket (older SLR’s). It is small and light, 19mm high and only 11g in weigh, so is ideal to be tucked away in a corner of a gadget bag.
A secondary use for this device is in multiple flash head setups, such as in a studio, where a hot shoe flashgun can be mounted as part of the set up and a slave trigger unit attached via the trailing sync cable. This will allow the hot shoe flash to be triggered at the same time as the others which are normally connected by cable.
The third use for this device is in mounting a couple of hot shoe guns on either side of the camera for macro photography. By using these devices with additional short sync cables and a sync splitter into a hot shoe adapter you can have 2 flash heads which can be angled for optimum illumination away from the main camera, but still triggered easily from the camera release. All in all, this is a most versatile accessory to have in your gadget bag.

A flash sync cable is an essential part of any studio photographer’s kit if they use professional or semi professional flash heads, connecting the flash head to the sync socket on the camera body in order to triggering it in sync with the release of the shutter. However, most synch cables being about 5m in length are not always long enough, especially if shooting in a large room or studio where the camera may need to be a considerable distance from the flash unit.
